Slope NX

Slope NX is the GeoStru web software for slope stability analysis with the limit equilibrium method (LEM). It runs in the browser, with no installation, and pairs established calculation methods with a real-time 2D/3D preview, verification to NTC/EC with partial factors, and an AI assistant that explains every result and suggests remedial measures.

Who it's for

Geotechnical engineers, civil engineers and geologists who need to verify the stability of a natural slope, an embankment or an excavation, with circular or general slip surfaces, in the presence of a water table, loads, seismic action and retaining structures.

What you can do

  • Verify a slope with five method-of-slices methods: Fellenius, Bishop simplified, Janbu, Spencer and Morgenstern-Price (GLE).
  • Search the critical surface over a grid of centres (circular) or define a general surface by points, with automatic search.
  • Model the ground in layers with geotechnical parameters (γ, γsat, c′, φ′, cu), the water table and distributed loads.
  • Analyse in drained (effective stress) or undrained (total stress) conditions.
  • Verify to NTC 2018, EC7-EC8 or user coefficients, with the partial factors of groups M (materials) and R (resistance).
  • Include the pseudo-static seismic action (kh, kv), computed from NTC or imported.
  • Add retaining structures — RC walls and gabions — with the backfill modeled as soil in the calculation.
  • Read results explained by the AI and, if the check fails, apply actionable measures (e.g. drainage) with one click.
  • Generate the calculation report (Word) and export the section; view the extruded 3D model.

The Slope NX interface is available in 6 languages (Italian, English, German, Spanish, French, Romanian), selectable from the flag menu at the top right. This manual is published in Italian and English.
