MASW NX — Surface-wave analysis

MASW NX processes active MASW surveys in your browser: from the recorded traces to the f-v spectrum, from dispersion-curve picking to the Vs profile by inversion, then Vs,eq, subsoil category, Word report and DXF drawings. It is GeoStru's Easy-MASW desktop program brought to the web.

Who it is for

Geologists, geophysicists, geotechnical engineers and survey companies that run the test and must deliver its processing: Vs profile, equivalent velocity and subsoil category under the Italian NTC 2018 code.

How you work

Six tabs, left to right, follow the order of the job:

  1. Dati generali (General data) — client, site, operator, consulting firm.
  2. Tracce (Traces) — import recordings, set geometry, selection, cropping and filter.
  3. Spettri (Spectra) — compute the f-v map and pick the dispersion curve.
  4. Inversione (Inversion) — set the layers and search for the profile that fits the curve.
  5. Categoria del suolo (Soil category) — Vs,eq, H, category and layer parameters.
  6. Relazione (Report) — Word, DXF and CSV.

Calculation runs on the server: the browser only draws and handles your gestures on the chart.

Where to start

The Quick start repeats the example in a few minutes. Before using results in a design, read Validation and limits: the profile comes from an inversion, and an inversion has no unique solution.
