Export and report¶
Once the classifications and verifications are complete, Rock Mechanics NX gathers all the work into a calculation documentation ready to be attached to the study. There are two outputs: the calculation report and the graphical drawings.
Calculation report¶
The geomechanical calculation report is the main document produced by the app, in Word format. It presents the entire calculation process in an organized way, exactly as set up in the project:
- the geostructural survey data — discontinuity sets with the ISRM parameters (orientation, spacing, persistence, aperture, roughness, weathering, infilling, hydraulic conditions), in addition to \(S_u\) and RQD;
- the adopted classifications, with index, class and quality of the rock mass for each method applied;
- the characteristic parameters obtained (\(c\), \(\varphi\), \(E\), GSI), useful for the subsequent analyses;
- the stability verifications, with the input data, the results and the outcome.
The report is generated from the Report / Report section of the app: once the survey, classifications and verifications are complete, you produce the document and download it ready to be reviewed and signed.
Multiple classifications in the same report
If you have processed the rock mass with several methods, the report presents them side by side: the scatter of the characteristic parameters is itself information about the reliability of the result.
Graphical drawings¶
Alongside the report, Rock Mechanics NX produces the graphical drawings that accompany the text and make it easier to read:
- projections and survey diagrams — the representation of the discontinuity sets and their orientations;
- verification schemes — the representation of the kinematisms analyzed in the stability verifications.
The graphical drawings visually document both the survey and the verifications, and fit naturally into the technical report.
